-Inflammation of Hair follicles, mainly located on the face, the shoulders and back.
-There are different sub-types. The most common form is juvenile acne which appears generally around puberty.
-It is due to hormonal and genetic factors which still remain poorly understood. An infection (Streptococcal) is sometimes found
-Another condition called Acne Rosacea, or more precisely Rosacea is unrelated but also presents with small pustules, although usually on red skin (flushing and erythema).
-Scars, sometimes keloids can develop after the active lesions have subsided.
