-A study was done on 60 patients with Alopecia Areata (Saint Louis Hospital – Paris, France). Psychology tests were done (Inkblot test) The study results show 4 characteristics.

-There is a psychological scar which alters the response of the brain to Stress – which in turn affects the skin.

-This conclusion also mentions the important of child developmental psychological milestones and a possible mechanism to how psychoanalysis works to correct the “Reflex” Hairfall of Alopecia Areata.
