Isotretinoin linked to Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) ? Really ?

The overwhelming majority of statements come from lawyers. To win, they rely on great scientific data and lack of warning:
-By doing autopsies on a few animals who received isotretinoin, more inflammation was seen in the group having received the medication but the association was not statistically significant with the control group
-the identified problem by them was a lack of the warning

Indeed plaintiffs have won as many times as defendants (which is not the case for the association with depression; Indeed studies show that the defendant has almost always won, probably because of enough research data discounting this association)

In further studies, no association has been shown (protective effect vs no effect vs marginally higher risk)

A full review rebutting the association is available HERE
