Vitiligo in a few words

-Vitiligo comes from the Latin word “vitilus”, meaning calf.
-It is a pigmentation disorder, quite unsightly, whose origin is still unknown (there is a destruction of melanocytes).
-The body is covered by white discolored patches surrounded by a hyperpigmented well-defined border.
-Treatments are available, but are generally not very effective.(see management) At the time of this report; Janus Kinase inhibitors show interesting results.
-It can be triggered following emotional trauma.
